Father of pedestrian accident victim asks for justice

Not long ago a driver claimed the life of a Pennsylvania man in a hit-and-run accident. The driver was headed home from a friend’s business when the auto-pedestrian accident occurred.

The victim’s father is still trying to come to terms with the loss. The father is especially bitter about the callous actions of the driver. He cannot understand how someone could just walk away from such an incident. The driver of the hit-and-run vehicle did not stop to help the victim or report the incident to the police.

So far no one has come forward to accept responsibility for the pedestrian accident. The victim’s father is asking anyone with information to step up and help find the driver.

Police are still investigating the pedestrian accident. Progress on the case has been slow. According to one police accident investigator, there was little physical evidence at the scene the day after the crash. In fact, the police only had blurry security footage and shaky eyewitness accounts as evidence.

They did manage to identify a light colored car that passed the hit-and-run vehicle moments before the accident. The search for its driver, who could possibly help identify the hit-and-run driver, is ongoing.

Police believe the car that hit the victim was either a red or maroon sedan.

It is very unfortunate when the actions of a negligent driver have life changing or even fatal consequences for others. The victim’s father is left to pick up the pieces of a life cut short. If the hit-and-run driver is apprehended, an attorney may be able to help this father hold the driver responsible. In addition to criminal charges, it may be possible for the father to hold the driver accountable for wrongful death.
